Rotarian since 2020, Ben is a consultant helping nonprofit agencies and philanthropists amplify their impact.
His work focuses on improving Child Welfare, Mental Health, and Educational opportunities for vulnerable students and families in the region and internationally. Prior to consulting, Ben was a Visiting Fellow at the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, Global Head of Strategic Learning and Evaluation at The Atlantic Philanthropies, and led evaluation and research for service and systems reform at the Annie E. Casey Foundation. Ben holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Rhode Island and completed post-doctoral training at the Yale Child Study Center.
 
Married to Rtn. Sarah Baird and a parent to their three grown children, Ben enjoys playing trumpet, and competes recreationally in racket sports, albeit played at an increasingly slow pace.
